The Microgaming Poker Network (MPN) is preparing to host their flagship tournament series this September. The Universal Championship of Poker (UCOP) will return for a 5th time starting on the 15th, featuring 94 events with a total of €1 million guaranteed.

Details of the Series:

The UCOP will run from September 15th until the 29th. Several formats will be offered within the tournaments with buy-ins ranging from €2.20 to €320. There will be hundreds of satellites on offer so players can earn their way into the series at a lower cost. A leaderboard competition will also be in the mix, offering prizes of over €20,000.

Satellites will begin on the 1st, with seats earned to UCOP events from as low as €0.01. MPN poker rooms that are participating in the series will offer the satellites as well as tournaments. On the 29th of September, players can try their hand at the €22 Mega Feeder, which will guarantee a minimum of 100 seats to the Main Event.

The Main Event will take place soon after the Mega Feeder, with €100,000 in prize money guaranteed. After that, the poker tournament will feature a High Roller event on the schedule, offering up €45,000 in guaranteed prize money.

According to Microgaming…

Mantas Urbonas, the 2018 Main Event Champion of the UCOP, will be on hand to defend his crown. Urbonas stated that the two-week festival with €1 million in guaranteed total prizes is a huge incentive not to miss any event. He wants to win at least one of the tournaments and he hopes to repeat his success in the Main Event, even though he knows that the odds are small!

UCOP Leaderboard Competition:

On top of the UCOP events, players will also have access to a leaderboard competition. At the end, the top player of the leaderboard will be named the Greatest Player in the Universe. The winner earns a trophy, €1,000 in cash, an online tournament ticket package worth €1,550, a €1,500 MPN Poker Tour package and a Player’s Choice prize.

The Player’s Choice prize is actually open to the top eight players. The options up for grabs includes €1,000 in cash, a €1,500 MPN Poker Tour package or a €1,550 Online Tournament Tickets Package.
